Livestock Lead

Full Time

Responsible for assisting management with the planning and control of the company’s livestock operations from reproduction through harvest, including but not limited to beef cattle, sheep, and pigs. Requires horsemanship riding and handling abilities; Advanced understanding of cattle flight zones and cattle behavior; Independent ability to handle some daily cattle rotation movements; Operate manual squeeze chute; Load & unload cattle for transport; Livestock health management (Disease control, breeding, weaning, branding, processing, transportation); Be able to drive & transport cattle and horses utilizing the 20ft livestock gooseneck trailer; Ability to operate some equipment (skid steer/mini ex) preferred; Proper herbicide use (cattle and horse pastures); Fencing building & maintenance; Installation of gates (must be able to operate hand and power tools); Be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle (on off road terrain); Basic plumbing knowledge to fix and maintain water systems for cattle and horses; Able to operate an ATV; Some Knowledge of hand tools (chain saws weed eaters etc.) Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Open availability to include weekends & holidays.
