Yes. In 2024, Kualoa Ranch earned GroupGAP Food Safety Certification through the North Shore Economic Vitality Partnership’s (EVP) GroupGAP program. After completing the program, we also passed our first FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) audit. These certifications reflect our ongoing commitment to safe, traceable, and high-quality food production.

No, we are not currently certified organic. However, several of our growing areas, including the Pāhalona Māla and Loʻi, use only organic methods. Across the ranch, we follow regenerative practices and take a holistic approach to land management. Although we don’t hold a formal organic certification, our production methods are grounded in sustainability and care for both the land and our community.
Yes! KualoaGrown offers flexible internship opportunities for students ranging from high school to university level. These internships provide hands-on experience in diversified agriculture, food systems, and ranch operations—and some have even led to permanent positions. Not necessarily! We offer a range of positions from entry-level roles (that require no prior experience) to more technical or specialized positions. For those new to agriculture, we highly recommend applying for an internship first. Internships offer hands-on exposure to our unique systems and allow both you and our team to assess whether it’s a good long-term fit.
