Frequently Asked Questions

For additional questions or inquiries
 Is KualoaGrown Food Safety Certified?

Yes. In 2024, Kualoa Ranch earned GroupGAP Food Safety Certification through the North Shore Economic Vitality Partnership’s (EVP) GroupGAP program. After completing the program, we also passed our first FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) audit. These certifications reflect our ongoing commitment to safe, traceable, and high-quality food production.

Learn more about the GroupGAP program here.

Is KualoaGrown Organically Certified?

No, we are not currently certified organic. However, several of our growing areas, including the Pāhalona Māla and Loʻi, use only organic methods. Across the ranch, we follow regenerative practices and take a holistic approach to land management. Although we don’t hold a formal organic certification, our production methods are grounded in sustainability and care for both the land and our community.

Does KualoaGrown Offer Internships?

Yes! KualoaGrown offers flexible internship opportunities for students ranging from high school to university level. These internships provide hands-on experience in diversified agriculture, food systems, and ranch operations—and some have even led to permanent positions. To propose an internship project, please fill out our Internship Application Form or email us directly at kualoagrown@kualoa.com for more information.

Where Can I Shop or Find KualoaGrown Products?

The KualoaGrown Market, located on-site at Kualoa Ranch and open daily, offers the widest selection of our products. We occasionally list surplus inventory on Farm Link Hawaiʻi when available. You can also find select KualoaGrown items featured at various local & fine dining establishments accross O'ahu.

Do I Need Agricultural Experience to Work at KualoaGrown?

Not necessarily! We offer a range of positions from entry-level roles (that require no prior experience) to more technical or specialized positions. For those new to agriculture, we highly recommend applying for an internship first. Internships offer hands-on exposure to our unique systems and allow both you and our team to assess whether it’s a good long-term fit.
