KualoaGrown’s beef operation is about much more than simply growing volume. At Kualoa Ranch, we’re committed to raising beef with integrity, with a focus on both the care of the animals and the quality of the product.

Operating as an agritourism destination presents unique opportunities in land management. Our ranch is a multi-use property, where the demands of agricultural production, environmental conservation, and guest experiences must coexist harmoniously. Managing this balance requires careful attention to not only the movement of livestock but also the protection of our natural resources.
Pasture-Raised Pork

Pasture-Raised Pork

At Kualoa Ranch, we raise our pigs utilizing deep-litter Korean Natural Farming techniques, along with pasture raising our breeds.

Our piggery serves many purposes here on the ranch. One of them is being a solution to the growing issue of food waste. A big part of our pig’s diet is farm waste, meaning off grade fruits and vegetables, and also our fresh kitchen produce waste from our cafe, like pineapple and lettuce ends. This is just one of our attempts to practice climate smart agriculture and close our loop in sustainability

At Kualoa, our regenerative aquaculture program blends traditional Hawaiian wisdom with modern science to cultivate thriving aquatic ecosystems. In Moli‘i Fishpond, our oyster farmers sustainably raise two different varieties, Kumamoto & Pacific Oysters. We are honored & take great pride in continuing a centuries-old legacy of fishpond stewardship.

At our Pahalona site location, we produce both shrimp and prawns using responsible aquaculture practices. Our highly skilled aquaculture technicians ensure the health of these ecosystems, honoring both cultural traditions and scientific advancements to maintain the vitality of our waters.

Each month, we mill poi in partnership with Kako‘o ‘Ōiwi, strengthening our connection to the land, community, and cultural heritage.
