Pahalona Ag Site

Nestled in Hakipuʻu Valley, the Pahalona Ag Site is a unique blend of traditional Hawaiian agriculture, market-garden style crop production, and innovative sustainable aquaculture. Spread across more than 13 acres, the site includes 25 loʻi terraces for wetland taro, 10 intensively managed crop fields, and 9 aquaculture ponds designed to support native algae and shrimp production.

A Diversified Approach to Local Food

Supplying Both Our Market & Local Restaurant Accounts

Pahalona is one of Kualoa Ranch’s most productive sites for feeding our local community. Each week, this site produces fresh ingredients for both the KualoaGrown Market and our growing list of restaurant partners. Our māla offers a rotating mix of vegetables and herbs for retail and wholesale accounts. In addition, our Pahalona crew works together to mill fresh poi in collaboration with Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi, to help preserve and share one of Hawaiʻi’s most cherished staple foods.

Where Culture and Cultivation Meet

Every part of the Pahalona Ag Site is designed to deepen the relationship between land, food, and community. From traditional loʻi systems to innovative aquaculture, this site reflects our KualoaGrown team’s broader mission to grow food that nourishes people, restores ecosystems, and honors the cultural legacy of Hakipuʻu.
